Kidney-Focused Set

I'll preface this with the fact that I wanted to wait at least a year before submitting a review.
It's not that I was skeptical about Greycoat — I had actually been following the organization's rise since early 2024, when I first heard and read about Dr. Toru Miyazaki and his AIM-related discovery through my discovery of a YouTuber named Clair Luvcat.

In fact, I'd been following Greycoat since their earliest days, when you had to pre-order products before they were even available yet.

That's why I was actually excited when I could finally try Greycoat's Dr. Toru Protocol on my little Ali, who's now 18 and turning 19 in August.

After two years of giving Ali Dr. Torus Protocol, Intensive Protocol and Probiotics, I can confidently say his quality of life has improved. Getting him to eat the Intensive was a bit of a challenge, but he now happily plows through it to get to the rest of his food.

His last lab results were attained a few months ago and although he was considered in the later parts of stage 2, he was still within stage 2, which I considered a win. When you're a cat parent with a sick cat you love, you'll take wins wherever you can find them.

What I immediately noticed after starting Ali on Greycoat's "triple threat" was the return of his energy. He's as explorative and curious as he's ever been. He can still get moody every now and then, and he has ups and dows, but overall, he looks great.

He's been doing zoomies every morning for two years now, and if you'd see him in the mornings you'd never think anything was wrong with him.

What's more, his appetite is insatiable, which I also take as a win right now. He always, and I mean ALWAYS wants to eat. Getting him to eat 3 to 4 meals a day has been a challenge, but I know it's important as Greycoat has advised that free feeding can make matters worse for a CKD cat.

His bowel movements are quite consistent, too, which wasn't the case before hand, and I'm certain that's thanks to both the renal friendly food I give him and the Greycoat Probiotics.

For the sake of comparison, Ali was distant, less affectionate, and constantly in hiding before I started him on Greycoat, all of which broke my heart as he was always a very social, affectionate and playful cat.

I've just started Ali on Greycoat's Omega 3 formula, which is a story unto itself—getting Ali to consume fish oil was an unforeseen battle of the ages. It's been almost three years now. I'd tried every way to get it in him imaginable, but nope. However, he is slowly, but surely taking to this. I don't know what wizardry has gone into it, but he doesn't hate it. Hopefully it helps even more.

I'm grateful Greycoat has recently released a low protein Salmon treat. I bought some and he devours it, and I'm glad he can safely eat even though he no longer has his teeth. I'll be buying more.

There's no doubt in my mind Greycoat's existence has been a boon for my baby.

My hope (and yes, I know I may be dreaming here, but I don't care) is that Greycoat's products can grind Ali's CKD to a halt and buy us more time until Dr. Miyazaki's injection finally comes out. I've read about the doctor's work, I've even read the results of trials, and I truly believe he and his team are going to change the way the world looks at cat care.
