Today, we’re sharing an inspiring update from Seoul, Korea.
Ellie, a 4-year-old cat diagnosed with Stage 2 CKD, has shown remarkable improvements in her blood values after just 5 months on Greycoat Research’s program.
Her guardian began the routine in April 2024 with only the Dr. Toru Protocol.
Thanks to consistent care and close observation, the positive changes are now clearly visible.
Let’s take a closer look at her journey.
(As Ellie’s values began to stabilize, the Full Spectrum Care Set was gradually introduced to further support her recovery.)
Weight & Appetite Status
- Stable weight with no significant loss.
- Continues to eat well without dietary complications.
Other Supplements & Medications
Q. Are you giving your cat any other supplements or prescribed medications?
A. Ellie also started a renal diet based on her veterinarian’s recommendation. She was initially taking a probiotic from another brand, but later switched to Greycoat Research’s supplement.
From the Guardian
"I was amazed at how all of Ellie's kidney levels improved across the board, especially her creatinine, which dropped to lower than when she was a kitten. Even our vet was surprised by the results. I’m so grateful for these supplements and the support from Greycoat Research. Now, I’m looking forward to Dr. Toru Miyazaki’s AIM injection cure becoming available so we can ensure long-term kidney health for Ellie."
Ellie’s Progress
📅 April 11, 2024
- Creatinine: 2.01 BUN 35.7
At this point, Ellie was in IRIS Stage 2 CKD, with early signs of kidney dysfunction beginning to show.
She initially began care with the Greycoat Research program, starting with only the Dr. Toru Protocol.
📅September 28, 2024
- Creatinine: 1.37 BUN 30
Ellie’s creatinine level showed a clear improvement, dropping from 2.01 to 1.37 in just five months.
Her BUN also declined steadily, from 35.7 to 30.
These results suggest better toxin clearance and reduced strain on the kidneys.
Ellie initially started with only the Dr. Toru Protocol. As her blood values improved, her guardian transitioned to the full Greycoat Research Full Spectrum Care Set, which she continues to take today.
Her guardian also shared that Ellie was eating with a healthier appetite, and that her energy levels noticeably improved. While her weight remained stable, we emphasized during consultation that a gradual return of appetite—without sudden overfeeding—is key to long-term kidney support.
In cats with CKD, it’s common for guardians to feel relieved when their cat starts eating again.
But fast weight gain can place unnecessary stress on the kidneys.
That’s why steady, moderate progress like Ellie’s is such a promising sign.
A Bright Path Forward
We’re hopeful that Ellie will continue to thrive—with stable values, bright energy, and the devoted care of her loving guardian.
Greycoat Research is honored to support her every step of the way.
