Name: Dolphin
Date of Birth: 2015 (9 years old)
Condition: Polycystic Kidney Disease (PKD)

From Dolphin’s Guardian
When Dolphin was diagnosed with PKD, I noticed she had become quieter and spent much of her time sleeping.
It was hard to watch her lose interest in things she used to love.
That’s when I decided to start a more consistent daily care routine for her.
Starting the Routine
In June 2024, we began daily kidney care that included the Dr. Toru Protocol, along with gentle adjustments to her meals and hydration.
At first, she needed time to get used to the new routine, but over the next few weeks, her appetite and activity slowly became more consistent.
Her veterinarian also monitored her progress closely, checking her kidney condition through regular imaging and bloodwork.
Her weight remained stable at 2.3 kg, and she adapted well to the adjusted feeding schedule.
Health Observations
📅 June 2024
-
Kidney cyst size: 2.5 cm
-
Weight: 2.3 kg
📅 September 2024
-
Kidney cyst size: 1.5 cm
-
Weight: 2.3 kg
While her cyst measurement showed a smaller reading at the follow-up, what stood out most to me was how much more alert and interactive she became.
She started exploring the house again, asking for food, and showing curiosity about her surroundings.
For me, these small signs of liveliness felt more meaningful than any number on paper.
Health Metric | Before | After | Change |
---|---|---|---|

Weight | 2.3 kg | 2.3 kg | Maintained steady weight |

What I Felt as a Guardian
At first, I was worried every day.
But over time, I learned that progress doesn’t always mean big changes—it can simply mean seeing your cat comfortable, eating, and responding to you again.
Watching Dolphin regain her daily rhythm has been the most reassuring part of this journey.

Looking Ahead
Dolphin still lives with PKD, but she spends her days with calm energy and a steady appetite.
I’ll keep supporting her with patience and consistency, one day at a time.
