From Geumdong’s Guardian
Geumdong has always been an active and affectionate cat.
About two years ago, I noticed his movements slowing down, and I assumed it was simply due to age.
Later, he was diagnosed with arthritis, which made daily movement more difficult.
I wanted to help him stay comfortable and mobile as much as possible.
Starting the Routine
In March 2024, Geumdong began a daily care routine that included the Dr. Toru Protocol, along with his existing joint and antioxidant supplements.
His meals consisted mainly of renal-supportive food, and anti-inflammatory medication was used occasionally under veterinary advice.
For about two months, we maintained this routine while carefully observing his appetite, energy, and activity levels.
Health Observations
Geumdong began AIM supplementation in late March and showed noticeable improvements within a few weeks.
Health Metric | Before | After | Change |
---|---|---|---|
Energy Levels | Low | More active and engaged | Showed more alertness and movement |
Mobility | Limited | Jumping and running | Able to move and climb more comfortably |
During this period, Geumdong appeared more active and responsive at home.
He began exploring his surroundings again and occasionally climbed his favorite spots, which he hadn’t done in a while.
Even short bursts of play became part of his day once more.

Daily Life and Condition
When the supplementation was briefly paused, Geumdong’s activity level dipped again.
After resuming his routine, he returned to a more familiar rhythm—moving about with curiosity and comfort.
Seeing him regain that spark reminded me how much daily consistency matters in senior cat care.
What I Learned as a Guardian
Living with an older cat taught me that small adjustments can make a meaningful difference.
Even when changes are subtle, maintaining routine, warmth, and gentle support helps bring stability and comfort to each day.
Looking Ahead
Geumdong continues his routine with the Dr. Toru Protocol under regular veterinary guidance.
My goal now is simply to help him move comfortably and enjoy peaceful, active moments at his own pace.
