Name: Raon
Date of Birth: 2009 (15 years old)
Condition: Stage 2 CKD, Pancreatitis

From Raon’s Guardian
Raon, a 15-year-old Russian Blue, had been living with chronic kidney disease (CKD) since his stage 2 diagnosis in 2019.
In 2022, he was also diagnosed with pancreatitis, which made his care more challenging.
By early 2024, his weight had declined from 4.6 kg to 3.85 kg, and his appetite had nearly disappeared.
He experienced frequent vomiting—two to three times per week—and often seemed tired and withdrawn.
In April 2024, I decided to start AIM-based nutritional support in hopes of helping him feel better and eat again.
Starting the Routine
In April 2024, I began a new care plan for Raon that included the Dr. Toru Protocol, alongside his existing digestive and liver support, renal supplements, and subcutaneous fluids under veterinary supervision.
We maintained consistent hydration and feeding schedules to support his daily rhythm.
Health Observations
Health Metric | Before AIM Care | After AIM Care | Change |
---|---|---|---|
Appetite | Very low | Restored appetite | Increased intake |
Energy Levels | Low | More active and engaged | Increased energy |
Vomiting Frequency | 2-3 times per week | Once per week | Reduced vomiting |
Litter Box Usage | Irregular | More consistent | Improved usage |
Raon began AIM care in April 2024 and showed visible improvements in appetite and behavior within a month.
By May 2024, his guardian observed that he was eating more regularly, vomiting less frequently, and showing interest in his surroundings again.
Daily Life and Condition
Before starting AIM care, Raon often appeared lethargic and uninterested in food.
After a month of steady support, he became more energetic, began exploring the house, and interacted more often.
His digestion improved, and he showed better tolerance to meals.
Although he continues to receive regular checkups for both CKD and pancreatitis, his daily comfort and appetite have been steadily maintained.

From the Guardian
“When Raon was diagnosed with CKD in 2019, I was told he might not live more than a year.
Then pancreatitis came along in 2022, and things became even more difficult.
By early 2024, he was losing weight, not eating, and vomiting constantly.
After starting AIM care through the Dr. Toru Protocol, his appetite returned, he became more active, and his vomiting decreased.
Watching him regain strength after years of struggle has been deeply reassuring.”
What I Learned as a Guardian
Caring for a senior cat with CKD and pancreatitis reminded me that even small steps in daily care can bring meaningful change.
Every day that Raon ate well and moved with energy felt like a quiet victory.
I realized that steady observation, gentle consistency, and patience can make a lasting difference in how our cats experience life.
