A Message from Neo's Caretaker
Neo was diagnosed with stage 3 kidney disease on March 2024. He was constantly prickly and sensitive, and his general energy levels were much lower than usual. He barely moved throughout the day, and wouldn’t even play-hunt with me. But what especially concerned me was his appetite - he couldn’t even finish a small 80 g can of food.
I made the choice to put him on AIM Dr. Toru Protocol in April, and was glad to see slight improvements in his appetite and energy levels. In late September, Intensive Protocol was released, so I immediately added it to Neo’s treatment plan. His blood test results improved, as did his energy levels.
His creatinine levels didn’t go up any higher, and stayed at a consistent level, while his BUN and phosphorus levels dropped. He started running around the house again, and his mood improved greatly. Plus, as I mentioned before, his appetite improved. He went from being unable to finish a single 80 g can of food a day to being capable of wolfing down 4 cans before begging for more! His weight also went up, much to my relief.
Back in March, Neo’s fur was so rough, and his eyes were cloudy and dim. Now, he has a luxurious coat of fur, and his eyes are so clear and bright! His overall health is way better than it used to be, and he spends a lot more time being active than ever!
